With an emphasis on riders with physical, mental, and social barriers, we strive to foster dignity, community, collaboration, and excellent stewardship of horses.
At East of Eden Stables , we are passionate about horses and the equestrian lifestyle. Our company was founded in 2019 with the goal of providing high-quality equestrian experiences and services of all abilities. Since then, we have grown into a leading provider of equestrian lessons.
Our vision at East of Eden Stables is to provide our customers with the best equestrian products and services on the market. We strive to offer a wide selection of high-quality services and events at competitive prices, and to provide excellent customer service and support. Our goal is to help our customers enjoy the equestrian lifestyle to the fullest.
At East of Eden Stables , we have a team of experienced equestrians who are passionate about horses and the equestrian lifestyle. Our team includes riders, trainers, and horse enthusiasts who are dedicated to providing our customers with the best possible products and services.
We have a terrific multigenerational crew of volunteers that assist with lessons, care for horses, and help care for the stables.
Camps are a great way to participate in our program while you decide if you'd like to commit to a regular lesson spot.
We do offer training for horse shows and offer an annual, competitive show in the fall. We encourage membership and showing at Pine & Spurs Riding Club in Fort Fairfield, Maine. Please ask us to arrange transportation if needed. We offer year-round training to help prepare students for horse show success.
Mounted, Unmounted Lessons & Trail Riding
Traditional lessons available in Western and English disciplines. We do offer adaptive riding lessons for persons with unique needs in a safe, comfortable, and encouraging environment with a team of skilled persons to assist.
We offer a limited number of guided trail rides year round and incorporate trail riding into most traditional and adaptive lessons. Please call ahead for pricing.
We believe that a rider becomes a better rider when their lessons include how to handle a horse on the ground, care of horses including nutrition and first aid, and caring for stables. Our lesson program includes all aspects of horsemanship.
We have a strong community of friends and horse lovers that encourage one another, help each other attain goals, and learn together.
Lessons often include skill-building in mounted archery to enhance confidence, learn a new activity, and to improve hand eye coordination.
We partner with area recreation departments and schools to provide camps and after school activities throughout the year.

Most of our students will eventually learn to drive at some point in their lesson plans. We do offer adaptive and regular driving lessons.
We offer Mother/Child lessons, Women's Groups, adult camps, equine meditation circles, and specialize in helping adults fulfill their dreams of being around horses in whatever therapeutic way is needed.
We breed a limited number of Friesian and Friesian Crosses annually. Contact us to see what foals are anticipated and how to be considered for one of our beloved foals.
